Stuart J. Russell

Stuart Jonathan Russell is a British computer scientist well recognized for his artificial intelligence contributions. He is an Adjunct Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. 

He was born in 1962, Portsmouth, England. In 1982, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics with first-class honors from the University of Oxford, where he was an undergraduate student at Wadham College. In 1986, he relocated to the United States to pursue his PhD in Computer Science at Stanford University, where he worked on inductive and analogical reasoning under the supervision of Michael Gennesaret. 

He is well-known for his modern approach to artificial intelligence.

Toshio Fukuda

Toshio Fukada known as Japanese roboticist. He is also a professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology and professor emeritus at Nagoya University. His research focuses on intelligent robotic systems. IEEE President-Elect Toshio Fukuda, IEEE Life Fellow (1995), was announced as the 2019 IEEE President-Elect on October 5, 2018. On January 1, 2020, he took over as IEEE President. 

He was born on 12 December 1948 in Showa, Yamanashi Prefecture. Fukuda obtained his B.E. from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, and his M.S. and D. Sc. from the University of Tokyo, respectively, in 1973 and 1977. 

IEEE Technical Field Award on Robotics and Automation (2010), IEEE/RSJ IROS Hiroshima Award for Innovative Technologies (2011) are among Fukuda's IEEE awards. He was also awarded the Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon by the Japanese government in 2015.

Matthew Turk

Matthew Turk is known as the President of the Toyota Technological Institute in Chicago, as well as a professor emeritus and former department head of the University of California, Santa Barbara's Department of Computer Science and Media Arts and Technology Program. 

He done his education from Massachusetts institute of technology, Carnegie Mellon University and Virginia polytechnic and State University.

His book known as Vision-Based Interaction and he was awarded by IEEE Fellow.

Saifur Rahman

Professor Saifur Rahman is the founding director of the Advanced Research Institute and the Joseph R. Loring professor of electrical and computer engineering at Virginia Tech in the United States. In addition, he is the director of the Center for Energy and the Global Environment. 

He completed a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1968 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1972. He awards by IEEE Technical Activities Board Hall of Honor, 2014 Outstanding Power Engineering Educator Award, IEEE Power & Energy Society, 2013, Meritorious Service Award, IEEE Power & Energy Society, 2012.

M. Zahid Hasan

M. Zahid Hasan is well-known for his groundbreaking work on topological and emergent features in quantum matter. At Princeton, he is the Director of the Laboratory for Topological Quantum Matter and Advanced Spectroscopy. 

Hasan was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and attended Dhaka College before going to the University of Texas at Austin to study physics and mathematics. He worked at SLAC/Stanford National Accelerator Laboratory and Brookhaven National Laboratory after receiving his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2002. 

Zahid is currently the toast of Princeton University's Physics Department, which counts 17 Nobel Laureates past and present. Yet, based on his demeanor, one would never guess! Professor Zahid Hasan is a symbol of pride and inspiration for Bangladeshis, Muslims, and South Asians in the United States.

Kevin Bowyer

Kevin W. Bowyer known as Schubmehl-Prein Family Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Notre Dame. He is a Scholar of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for distinguished contributions to the fields of computer vision and pattern recognition, biometrics, object recognition, and data science.  

Professor Bowyer was honored by the IEEE Computer Society with a Technical Achievement Award for his groundbreaking contributions to biometrics science and engineering and receive the inaugural IEEE Biometrics Council Meritorious Service Award.

Mark Nixon

Professor Mark S. Nixon is a former vice-chair of IEEE PSPB and former president of IEEE Biometrics Council. In 2019, he retired from the University of Southampton as Professor of Electronics and Computer Science. 

He was born in May 4, 1958. He graduated from University of Reading in BSc Cybernetics Science with Subsidiary Mathematics in 1979. He completed his doctoral studies in Applied Estimation Theory from the same university in 1983. 

From 2017 to 2018, he served as President of the IEEE Biometrics Council. He was named Chair of the International Association of Pattern Recognition. Since 2018, he has served as the IEEE PSPB vice-chair. He is a Pattern Recognition Letters advisory editor. 

He was awarded by 2008 - Fellow, International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR), 2012 - Notable Book Award, Computing Reviews, 2015 - BMVA Distinguished Fellow.
